  • landscape
  • signed in Cyrillic l.r.

Provenance

Acquired directly from the artist in Berlin in early 1920s by Alexander Konstantinovsky;
Thence by descent to his grandson

Condition

The canvas has been lined. The paint surface is dirty and there is a layer of discoloured varnish. Fine lines of craquelure are visible where the paint was applied more thickly. Examination under UV light reveals patches of retouching throughout and to the corners. An opaque layer of varnish prevents a more conclusive analysis. Unframed.
