Catalogue Note
rare. Ten thousand copies were printed by the publisher "Soviet Writer", but it was then recalled, and is rarely found today. Akhmatova's partner Punin and her son were both arrested. "From six books" contains the poems 'Iva' ('The Willow Tree', first edition), 'Anno Domini', 'Podorozhnik' ('Plantain'), 'Belaya Staya' ('White Flock'), 'Chetki' ('Beads') and 'Vecher' ('Evening').
