- length: 9cm., 3 1/2 in
the body finely painted with a boyar reading a letter to a boyarina in cartouche-shaped reserve and enamelled with geometric motifs in mutes tones on grey ground, marked K. Fabergé beneath the Imperial Warrant, with scratched inventory number 24718, 88 standard
Condition
Some wear to the gilding consistent with age. There are signs of restoration to the enamel to the right of the handle and subsequent yellowing to the white enamel ground.
