Description
- height: 5.5cm., 2 1/8 in
square with rounded corners, the borders decorated with beaded scrolls and inset with cabochon stones, the centre painted with the Mother of God of Kazan, marked K Fabergé beneath the Imperial warrant, 88 standard

Condition
There are spots of paint loss, particulalrly to the face of the Mother of God and the head of Jesus. There are further signs of paint loss to the lower part of the icon and raised craquelure. There is evidence of restoration and the lower section was repainted. The silver has tarnished consistent with age and use.
