There is a patch of repair to the silver lid. There are very minor dents to the lid and the base. The gilding is worn, particularly to the lid. Otherwise in good overall condition consistent with age and use.

Jonas Bergström trained in his native Stockholm and came to St Petersburg in 1764.  He may be the same Jonas Bergström who, having returned to Stockholm late in his career, entered his mark there in 1814, though St Petersburg assay authorities record him as late as 1816.  The form, typical of English coffee pots of the mid 18th century, demonstrates the movement of craftsman between England, Scandinavia and Russia and their shared influences during this period.
