- 32.5 by 27.5cm., 12¾ by 10¾in
held in an impressive silver-gilt and enamel oklad, the Virgin and Christ painted in oil, in silvered and gilded robes with ornate vari-coloured cloisonné enamel halos, the cornerpieces centred with raised opaque and translucent enamel rosettes on geometric enamel mounts, the inscription on a red translucent enamel plaque, the border cast and chased with scrolling foliage, 84 standard
Condition
There are two struts to the reverse concealed by a fabric cover. Small areas of craqulure to the faces. The enamel is new. The oklad appears to be in very good condition.
