A strip along the right side appears to have been reinforced with metal screws and staples and the join has been repaired. There is evidence of craquelure, some raised. Some minor chips of paintloss, the varnish is discoloured, overpainting to the central panel and to the left of Christ. The inscriptions have been strengthened or added later.
