Vitaly Gavrilovich Tikhov

Vitaly Tikhov was one of the most talented students in the workshop of Vladimir Makovsky. After completing his studies at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, he was awarded a scholarship to travel and paint abroad. His paintings are found in the collections of the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum of the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, and several museums abroad. In the 1920s and the 1930s, Tikhov actively participated in exhibitions that reflected the new way of life in the Soviet era.
