Catalogue Note

Born in Moscow, Feinberg exhibited at the Contemporary Art Store in 1919 and with the Union of Russian Artists in 1923. In his early works Feinberg took his inspiration from the Old Masters in both technique and subject matter. He also decorated two Agit-Prop trains in the 1920s, the Lenin (October Revolution) and the Soviet Caucasus.
