Condition

Oil on lined canvas. This work has been recently cleaned. Light scratches and very minor craquelure are visible, and some paint has been lost at the outer edges and corner at upper left. There is also a small fleck of white paint on the canvas surface in the upper center of the sitter's hair. Under UV very fine lines of sensitive in-filling are visible to the left hand portion of the work and to the left of the sitter's face. There is also an area of fluourescing varnish l.r. Held in a gold painted wood frame with plaster molding. There are some minor areas of paint loss to the frame. Unexamined out of frame.
