Condition

The panel is sound. The surface is slightly dirty and is covered with a layer of yellowed varnish. Paint losses have occurred in places, including a 3 by 1cm loss to the girl's right shoulder and a vertical 2cm loss to her center chest. Minor losses have occurred about the edges. A gallery label that identifies the artist and title is affixed to the reverse. Under UV possible retouches are visible to the upper corners and lower right corner, but the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted frame with decorative moulding and under glass.
