Description

One brooch designed as ruban set with ruby and diamond, centring on a circular-cut diamond; one brooch designed as a knot set with rose-cut diamonds; and one open worked brooch set with turquoise and diamonds; partly illustrated (3).

Condition

* The tassel/pear-shaped pendant at bottom of the turquoise brooch is need of re-attaching to the main quatrefoil. Total diamond weight approximately 1.50 carats, mixed colours and clarities. Very minor discolouration to turquoise. Length approx. (including drop) 50mm, width 27mm. Overall good condition. Turquoise and diamond brooch stamped 585 for 14 carat gold. Weight 8g. * Unreadable marks on the ruby brooch. The brooch system can be removed. The principal circular-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.75 carats, of L-M colour, PK/I2 clarity and faint fluorescence, open culet. In our expert's opinion, as graded in the mount. Remaining diamond weight approx. 1.50-1.75 carats. Larger than illustrated, width approximately 55mm between from loop to loop, length 42mm. Rubies well matched in hue, Red-Purple/Purple-Red hue, medium to medium light tone, moderately strong to very slightly brownish saturation, not as vivid as in illustration. Silver and gold mount. Ribbon stamped 585 for 14 carat gold and ZII for silver 835. Late 19th century. Overall very good condition- would benefit from cleaning. 21grams approx. * Knot brooch width approximately 25mm, length approx. 20mm. Weight 6g. Stamped 585 for 14 carat gold and ZII for silver 835. All late 19th century.
