Designed as a shell, embellished with a cabochon emerald, cased by Mellerio dits Meller, French maker's and assay marks (2).

Larger than illustrated, brooch width approximately 44mm. Emerald cabochon diameter approximately 10.3mm, as measured in the mount, more of a green colour than illustrated, with eye-visible inclusions. The brooch is signed and numbered Mellerio 5699 Bro and with its case. Double pins. Total weight approximately 30 grams. With French assay marks for 18 carat gold and maker's mark MM.
