Description
- length 44cm.
the ends engraved with busts of Mary and Saint John, and the throning God Father, applied with three oval enamel plaques, the three-nail-type corpus with crown and long apron, the reverse engraved with the Evangelist symbols; the lower end backwards enforced with a piece of iron
Condition
Wear, scratching and stains to the gilding, extensive wear to gilding at the corpus, losses of enamel to the applied cabochons; right arm of Christ broken at the ellbow (minor related losses of material); fine crack within the metal at lower end of the waistcloth; small piece of metal at the right side of the waist to corpus missing (ca. 0.2 by 2.0cm.), very small piece of crown ornament missing; the lower end of the cross at the reverse enforced with a piece of iron (ca. 6 by 3cm.) and attached with five nails, lower end of cross broken off. Corpus and cross possibly associated.
