- An italianate landscape with shepherds resting their cattle
oil on canvas
- 53.5 by 66.7 cm.

Thence by descent.
Condition
The actual painting is less bright in tone than the illustration in the catalogue suggests. The canvas is relined. The paint surface has been flattened and has suffered from dryness. No major damages are visible to the naked eye. The paint surface is covered with an old and dirty varnish layer.
Inspection under UV-light reveals extensive retouching and strenghtening throughout. Offered in a gilt wood frame, in good condition. (JD)
