re-bound in red leather and tooled in gold, the edges also gilt and containing numerous, finely drawn maps of the region, all heightened in watercolour, contained in leather covered box
Provenance
Carl Theodor Graf von Bettschardt who was married to Elisabeth Freiin von Schenk zu Castell. For some time his wife was the owner of estates near Munich (Pasing, Laim, Geiselbullach, Graßlfing). The family Bettschart auf Immenfeld in der Halden is original from Switzerland and in 1742 Johann Ägidius von Bettschardt was created Freiherr.
Condition
A few drawings with corners bent over but otherwise in good condition.
