35-cm arched brass dial with wheatear border and foliate engraved centre, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Johannes Van Wyk en Zoon Amsterdam, foliate pierced hands and rococo spandrels, subsidiary seconds and apertures for date, day, month, moonphase and the ships automaton in the arch rocking to and fro' connected to the going train of the anchor movement, rack Dutch quarter striking on two alternating bells, alarm removed, associated to the burr walnut veneered case with bell top surmounted by a giltwood atlas and two angels, shaped moulded corniche with carved ornament above foliate pierced front and side frets, glazed door with threequarter brass capped columns, canted trunk with long shaped door and Europe lenticle, bombed base raised on ball and claw feet
