A Louis XVI armchair circa 1780

painted grey-green, the backrest carved with fluted moulding surmounted by a ribbon, the fluted armrests above rails carved with pearl motifs centred by cartouche with flower heads, tapering fluted legs, upholstered and covered in silk fabric worked with flowers in blue; combined with a side chair of walnut, upholstered and covered in red fabric, painted gold and combined with two further armchairs in 18th century style
