Description

  • 2443gr., height kettle 26.9cm.
the hot water kettle chased with spiral fluted and two cartouches on the sides, the swing handle of silver and wood, the cover applied with flower finial, J. van Branteghem; the teapot on circular foot, the spout ending in a monster head, with wooden handle and hinged lid with bud finial, makers' mark 2V; the sugar bowl on a circular foot, the spirally fluted body engraved with a coat-of-arms within a chased cartouche, with two scroll handles, apparently unmarked (4)

Condition

the marks slightly rubbed, the rim of the sugar bowl with a dent and probably with missing cover, all with very small scratches of use.
