Drypoint, c. 1902, on laid paper with the 'N L' watermark, with wide margins, in good condition apart from four small fox marks in the image, the hinges slightly pressing through at top, pale mat stain, framed

Condition

The print is in good condition as catalogued. There is a small dark fox mark to the left of sitter's right hand and three paler fox marks above. There is pale mat stain in the margins, darkest at the mat opening. The hinges at the top sheet edge verso are slightly pressing through and mat stain is lighter where they appear. There are soft handling creases throughout the sheet. The print is incorrectly titled in pencil on the lower sheet edge verso "Jeannette wearing a bonnet".
