  • Picador: Two Plates (A.R. 200 and 201)
  • diameter of each 242 mm 9 1/2 in
Two terre de faïence plates, 1953, partially glazed and painted in black, each with the Empreinte Originale de Picasso and Madoura pottery stamps, in good condition (two plates)

Condition

The plates are in good condition overall. Each plate has an old collection sticker (No. 14 written in ink) on the reverse and A.R. 200 has some remains of adhesive from a second sticker, with associated light soiling. A tiny loss in the glaze is visible upon close inspection on the front of A.R. 201 and there are a few tiny abrasions in the glaze at the rim on the verso of each where the plates rested on stands in the kiln.
