Aquatint, 1951, signed in pencil and inscribed '1er état', a rare example of the first state (Baer cites 12 impressions), on Montval laid paper, with wide margins, in good condition except the sheet edges lightly skinned on the verso, trimmed unevenly at left and right
Condition
The print is in good condition overall. The deckle is intact at top and bottom but the margins have been shaved unevenly. A 1/4 inch wide abrasion caused by the removal of tape extends along the sheet edges, verso.
