Condition
The paper tone in the margins has been noticeably darkened by a previous (acidic) mat. The discoloration is uneven, lighter where tape on the underside of the mat protected the paper. Additionally there are a few very small adhesive remains on the verso. These imperfections are disguised by the current mat and could likely be minimized by conservation.
