Description

  • Andy Warhol
  • Liz (F. & S. II.7)
  • sheet 587 by 590 mm 23 1/8 by 23 1/4 in
Offset lithograph printed in colors, 1964, signed in ballpoint pen and dated '67, on wove paper, from the edition of approximately 300, published by Leo Castelli Gallery, New York, with margins, the colors faded, the sheet backed with vellum laid down to card, with associated bubbling, separating at the sheet corners, time stain, framed

Condition

As catalogued, the colors are faded. The sheet has been backed with an adhesive vellum which is subsequently laid down to card, and the sheet corners are separating from this backing, revealing adhesive remains and scuffing on the verso. Because the backing has not been applied evenly there are areas where it is bubbling or creasing in the center of the image. The sheet edges have discolored over time and there are pin holes in the sheet corners.
