Drypoint, c. 1894, sixth (final) state, signed in pencil, on wove paper, printed by Felsing and with his pencil signature, with wide margins, a six inch repaired tear extending diagonally from the upper sheet edge through the extreme upper left corner of the plate, the upper, lower and right sheet edges partially made up, pale light- and mat stain, framed

Condition

As catalogued, there is a six inch diagonal tear beginning at the upper sheet edge at center and running diagonally through the extreme upper left corner of the plate. The upper and lower sheet edges with partially made up sections at left, each c. 7 1/2 inches, and the upper right sheet edge with a similar section measuring 3 inches. The upper sheet edge also with a small repaired circular loss. The left sheet edge is trimmed irregularly, and all sheet edges are creased, suggesting they were previously folded back. The paper has slightly darkened due to exposure to light and the margins have been exposed to acidic mats. A pencil inscription in the lower margin is possibly in the artist's hand.
