Gold-toned silver print, titled and initalled by the artsit in pencil upon the reverse.

Condition

Good condition, with the marks of retouching mentioned above, and the light surface marking consistent with the known history of Jones' prints.

Catalogue Note

It is very noticeable that the careful spotting (retouching) of the print is applied to the 'eyes' of the potato, as though the gardener Jones had tried to make his vegetable specimen more perfect than nature.
