Condition

Not examined out of frame. Considerably faded around the outside to a distance of 1.5 cm from the edge. The inner area well preserved with superlative contrast notably on the face.

Rev. Bell was a close friend of D.O.Hill's and an early subscriber to The Disruption Painting for which the present portaits were made. He appears in several of the calotypes.
