Luis González Palma (b. 1957)

The present piece bears strong connections to the series Gonzalez Palma exhibited to acclaim at the Noordelicht Festival in 2002.  Sometimes exploring broad areas involving the effects of colonialism and its aftermath, sometimes exploring more personal areas reminiscent of the pained enquiries of a Joel-Peter Witkin, Gonzalez Palma has made himself one of the leading artists working with photographs from Latin America.
