Horst P. Horst (1906-1999)

Estimate
3,000 - 4,000 GBP
bidding is closed

Description

  • Horst P. Horst
  • Lillian Marcuson, New York, 1950
Platinum-palladium print, annotated 'Proof #1' in an unknown hand in the margin. Signed in pencil on the reverse. Printed later. Framed.

Literature

Horst, R.J. & Schirmer, L. 1991 pl. 105.

Condition

There is slight rippling to left and right print edges. There is the suggestion of improper sensitisation of the paper at the outer edges of the images. Inner tones are excellent, however, and Horst's signature on the reverse is evidence of his approval of this print.
