Catalogue Note

Ady's poem is one of a set of 15 photographs that André Kertész made to illustrate György Bölöni's book on the Hungarian poet Endre Ady (1877-1919), Az Igazi Ady (The Real Ady), Editions de l'Atelier, Paris, 1934. This book is itself now extremely rare, and the photographs in connection with it even more so.
