The panel is sound. There is a very minor crack to the panel in the lower right section. There is evidence of minor frame abrasion in places. Minor craquelure. There has been a reaction to some areas of paint (possibly to bitumen) which has produced an incosistent texture in places visible on close inspection, in particular the trees just left of centre, the buildings just right of centre and patches elsewhere. There is surface scratch with paint loss in the upper left section. Ultraviolet light reveals some old retouching beneath the varnish particularyl in the central section and elsewhere. Held in a decorative gold painted frame which is loosely held together.
