Provenance
Anonymous sale, Paris, Galliera, 5 December 1962, lot 15 (as by G. Hondecoeter).
Condition
The panel is cradled. The surface of the panel bears a crack to the centre of the left edge. There are some further more minor surface cracks elsewhere, visible at the edges in particular. There is some very minor paint loss to the lower left edge and elsewhere. There is craquelure to the paint surface. Ultraviolet light reveals spots of retouching to the trees, rocks, sky and to the cracks. Held in a decorative wooden frame in fair condition.
