Condition
Good overall condition. Two small lacks on the left hand side under the frame. Colours are slightly too yellow on the catalogue. They are more beige in reality.

André Hambourg obtient la Bourse d'Abd-el-Tif en 1933 et part pour Alger. La découverte de la lumière algérienne est pour lui un choc, et il va tirer un parti artistique remarquable de sa rencontre avec ce pays. Il n'oubliera jamais son séjour algérien dont la lumière et les couleurs l'ont beaucoup influencé, et témoigne ainsi de ses impressions: "Cette terre d'Afrique ne laisse des tons que des gris colorés, très finis, très subtils, très difficiles à saisir et pour cette raison même passionnants."
