Condition

Good overall condition. Cracks all over the surface. One repaint in the lower right corner by the frame and some few repaints scattered all over the surface.

Catalogue Note

Crapelet partit pour l'Egypte en 1852 et n'en revint qu'en 1854. De retour à Paris, il exposa régulièrement au Salon de Paris, principalement des vues d'Egypte. Il visita également la Tunisie et l'Algérie. Son dernier travail fut la décoration de Mahor, navire construit près de Toulon par le vice-roi d'Egypte.
