Very good overall condition. Scratch on the right hand side approximatly 5 cm.

Catalogue Note

Paul Cirou découvre l'Algérie en 1905 et décide de s'y installer en 1912, d'abord à Ténès, puis à Tlemcen de 1920 à 1932 et enfin à Mascara (Oranie) de 1933 à 1935. Les scènes de marchés sont pour Cirou un thème de prédilection, sur lequel il revient inlassablement. Il a beaucoup représenté les marchés de Nédroma, vieille cité Berbère située dans l'Ouest algérien.
