oil on canvas, in a Louis XV carved and gilt wood frame probably datable to the 1720s or '30s

Provenance

Rokeby Hall, Yorkshire, probably by 1769 (see Literature) when the house was sold by Sir Thomas Robinson (c.1702-1777) to John Sawrey Morritt (1738-1791);
Thence by descent until 2003.
