Provenance

Acquired by the aunt of the present owner in April 1914 from J. St-Hensé, Duke St., London.

Condition

The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is generally secure with some scattered paint losses, areas of abrasion and discoloured retouchings visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveals some further old retouchings scattered throughout. Offered in a carved wood frame which has suffered some knocks.
