Description

  • A wooded landscape with figures travelling along a path
  • the reverse stamped with the brand of the city of Antwerp, and the maker's mark: A
  • oil on panel

Condition

The support consists of a single flat panel which is not cradled. The paint surface is generally secure with some fine cracquelure and is under a thick varnish. There are some very minor paint losses, for example to the upper centre. The thick varnish impedes satisfactory inspection under UV light although some scattered retouchings and strengthenings do flouresce. The lot is unframed.
