- Study of the head of a man
- oil on paper laid on board
Condition
The illustrated work is paper laid on board. The paint surface is generally secure, however, there is a horizontal tear of approx. 10 cm. to the left of the man's right eye. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouchings throughout.
Offered in a painted wooden frame in good condition.
The unillustrated painting is canvas laid down on panel with three vertical wooden panel supports to the reverse. There is a >- shaped tear of approx. 5 by 5 cm. upper left and further minor damages. There appears to be a restored vertical tear of approx. 5cm. to the right edge. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouchings throughout.
Offered in a carved wooden frame with some very minor losses.
