Condition

The single coppar plate is stable but has buckled slightly. There are small holes along the upper edge from where it used to be attached to the stretcher. The paint surface is generally secure with some small losses and the craquelure in the central area is secured by a discoloured varnish. The varnish prevents examination under UV, however retouchings and strengthenings are visible to the naked eye, scattered throughout. offered in a later wood and plaster painted frame with several knock and losses.
