The single, flat, stable panel is cradled to the reverse. The paint surface appears to be generally sound except at the edges where there is some paint loss due to frame abrasion. There are some scattered strengthenings and retouchings visible to the naked eye throughout, particularly to the folds of the drapery. Inspection under ultraviolet light is rendered impossible by the thick, slightly discoloured varnish. The lot is offered in a carved wood frame which has suffered some knocks.
