Condition

The single flat panel is cradled on the reverse. The paint surface is now generally secure but due to substantial wear it has been retouched in several areas. However, old paint losses, scattered throughout, have been infilled. These flouresce when inspected under UV light. Unframed.

Catalogue Note

Originally part of a larger series of Old Testament prophets, of which Post (see literature) compares this to another figure from the same series, Gomer, listed as in the collection of Thomas Harris, London although since the publication of Post's book the panel depicting Zemeyas (location unknown) has come to light.
