Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is largely secure and under a rhick and slightly discoloured varnish. There are retouchings throughout where the paint has thinned, particularly in the sky. Inspection under UV reveals quite extensive retouching to the sky and further retouching to the foliage and some foreground details. Offered in a later wood and plaster gilt frame.
