Description

  • A female saint receiving the martyr's palm from a cherub
  • oil on canvas, in a carved and gilt wood frame

Condition

The canvas has been recently relined and is very tight. The paint surface is quite flat. There is some small paint lossl ower centre by the saint's book. There is some retouching but a layer of varnish impedes thorough inspection under ultra violet light. The lot is offered in a carved and gilt wood frame.
