Condition
The canvas has a fairly recent relining. The paint surface is in generally sound condition. There are stretcher marks visible along the upper edge where the painting has cracked and been repainted. The thick varnish impedes thorough inspection under ultraviolet light although some minor recent retouchings fluoresce in the outlines of the figures and their drapery. The painting is offered in a gilt wood frame with some knocks and paint losses.
