A later, probably early 19th century, copy after the original by Mancini in Rome, Collezione Lemme (see Giancarlo Sestieri, Repertorio della Pittura Romana della fine del seicento e del settecento, vol. III, Turin, 1994, cat. no. 660).
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is in a sound condition with some very minor paint losses. The varnish is somewhat discoloured and yellowing and impedes satisfactory inspection under ultraviolet light. Offered in a wood and plaster frame with some knocks and losses.
