Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is in good stable condition but there is a restored tear of approximately 4 by 2 cm to the lower right. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals substantial retouchings, especially to the lady's face and clothing. The lot is offered in a plaster gilt wood frame.
