Description

  • A still life with pomegranates, an orange and a pear in a basket with a partly peeled lemon, a knife and a lantern on a draped table;A still life with a plate of grapes, flowers and an orange on a wooden ledge

Condition

The support of the former consists of a split panel glued together by cloth. The latter consists of sinlge slightly bowed panel. The paint surface of both is generally secure althought the paint has thinned a little, particularly in the background. Inspection under UV light is hindered by the thick varnish (apart form the recent retouching to the jar in the former and the grapes in the latter) although extensive strengthenings are apparent to the naked eye. Offered in later wooden painted frames.
