Condition
The canvas has a fairly recent firm relining. The paint surface is generally secure with fine cracquelure throughout and some areas of abrasion. Inspection under UV light reveals several areas of retouching, for example in some areas of the Madonna's clothing and hand and along the lines of the cracquelure. There is a restored vertical tear of 10 cm lower right. Offered in a carved wooden frame with old woodworm holes and several knocks.
