Condition

The bevelled support is composed of three horizontal panels held together by two battens on the reverse. The paint surface is largely secure and is under a somewhat discoloured varnish. The panel joins are visible on the front of the painting with some associated retouchings visible to the naked eye. Further retouchings and strengthenings fluoresce under UV light and the sky appears to be quite extensively repainted. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame.
